• The portrait background for Jamaican Passport Photos is very light.
• It is best to remove your glasses to eliminate any chances of rejection because of reflections.
• Your expression must be neutral with no frowning or smiling.
• You should be looking directly at the camera. Pictures even slightly in profile have been known to be rejected.
• Your face should fill between 31mm to 36mm.
• Subject should not wear glasses.
• Jamica Passport photographs must be taken by a professional studio.

Feldman's Photography will create two identical Passport photos for Jamaica that will be exactly 2"x2" however, the consulate prefers that they cut the final size. As required by the government in Jamaica there will be no hard shadows photographed on a solid light background.

• The Jamaican consulate has recently change the size and photo requirements for it's passports. Most of the web sites are still showing outdated specifications. Feldman's Photography has spoken to the consulate directly to verify the information described above.
* Jamaican passport applicants are required to submit two identical copies.
*The photos must be taken not more than six months prior to the application
* The passport photos should be taken in colour with a flat finish
* Jamaican passport photos specify a plain background
* There should be no reflection from eyeglasses or background shadows
* Passport photos should provide a full frontal view of the head, neck and top of the shoulders with ears clearly visible
* The passport applicant should wear no head covering while taking the photograph except where required for religious purposes
* The size of the face should be 31mm to 36mm, from the chin to top of head
* The Jamaican consulate prefers if the studio not cut the image to the final 2"x2" size.
* Jamaican High Commission states that no machine photos are allowed
* Both ears must be visible in Jamaican Passport Photos
